Canik METE MC9 9mm 3.1in Barrel 12/15+1 Optic Ready FDE

Canik METE MC9 is my go-to for EDC. It is small enough for good concealment but has the punch a 9mm provides. I did have a few jams within the first 25 rounds of 115gr. I switched to 124gr for another 150 rounds and it ran flawlessly. I'm back to 115gr for practice and Hornady 124gr JHP. I have run some 147gr rounds the recoil seems a little snappy.

For those that say the grip is too short so go with the Canik METE MC9L, I say consider the MC9 with the 15 round mag. The grip is the same as the MC9L then and you still have the option of the 12 round clip (I use the pinky extension) to reduce printing. 

In conclusion, since the break in period (500 rounds) I've run 1000+ practice ammo and 125+ defense ammo through without issue. For me an EDC must run flawlessly or it can't be an EDC. In my opinion this weapon qualifies as an EDC weapon.

Purchased this fantastic firearm almost a month ago and man am I glad I did. I tried out 4 other guns but deciding to go with this bad boy. The gun packs a punch for a 9mm, it comes with 2 mags, cleaning kit and a holster but I'm not using it for carry. The price is perfect and it holds either 12 or 15 rounds. Highly recommend pulling the trigger on this Canik Mete MC9 

Great compact .9mm very little recoil for having a short barrel. 

FYI:  MC9 compact is compatible for using the pancake holster of a S & W, 6946

I have owned my Mete MC9 for about 10 months now and have fired around 3k rounds through it.

Not one ftf or fte. Zero malfunctions. 

Great ergonomics like all caniks. 

Heavier trigger than other caniks due to its intended purposes as a ccw.

Would recommend,  would trust my life with it 

All around this is a perfect concealed carry gun comes with 12 and 15 round mags! Has a holster in box with the gun! All the fixed sites tools are unique and present. The thing that sold me was that you can chamber a round almost completely silent. It’s a great gun and this is coming from a Glock fan boy…
