Kel-Tec CMR-30 Carbine 22 WMR 16in Barrel 30+1(1) Magpul MBUS Sights

This gun is so fun to shoot! I have the PMR which also uses the same mag. A must is the Maglula loader for the pmr and cmr mags. Loading is like butter.

Very compact and light weight. Combine that with a nice easy to pull trigger and you've got yourself a small caliber carbine that is a joy to shoot at the range or for varmint elimination. I added a red dot optic on mine to compensate for my aging eyes and it's a tack driver. I highly recommend buying the dedicated 22wmr mag loader from Keltec to eliminate the rim lock and case damage issue some have experienced with loading by hand. Though advertised as a 30 round magazine I only load 25 which is still enough to satisfy any mag dump desires a may or may not ever have. I did initially experience some feeding issues but that seems to have disappeared as round count increased and switching to using the magazine loader. Your results may vary but this little plastic marvel is one of my favorites.

At the surface the CMR30 looks like an awesome carbine for packing, varmint hunting, and as a backup firearm. I should have read ALL of the reviews. This is the most unreliable firearm I have ever owned in my over 30 years of hunting and self defense experience. To rub salt in my wound, I contacted KelTec support and they told me they hardly have any issues with this gun, and gave me an attitude when i expressed concerns over it, and all the horrible reviews that go back 5 years. I don't understand why KelTec has not fixed the feeding issues that plague this gun. You know its bad when 3rd party manufactures are developing their own fixes for this gun. Do you think they would spend R&D dollars on a fix if there wasn't a demand? If KelTec can fix the feeding issues this would be a 5 star review. But until then, 1 star.
