Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 380 ACP 2.75in Barrel (10+1)/(12+1)

It is small but shoots nicely better then expected for a pocket size gun. The number of rounds in the clip is great also compared to my OLD sig which can only hold 6 and that is a much larger gun. The recoil was much less then I expected.

Kept thinking , should I buy this gun . My first 380 pistol. I love it , great shooter and the trigger is awesome. I bought it for the wife but I've been carrying it lol 

Purchased the second it was available to replace my pocket carry G42 which is now obsolete! This BG 2.0 is smaller than the G42 and has 4 rounds more capacity than the G42. This little pistol shoots extremely well and accurate for being so small due to it’s striker fired so great flat trigger (vs. a double action heavy triggered original BG or LCP Max) and new trigger guard design giving more room on the grip I get all three fingers on the grip even with the 10 round flush magazine. This is essentially a small Shield Plus in 380.

I had big hopes for this little gun but it really let me down.  Truthfully, part of it was because I haven't yet given it a full chance.  It had mediocre accuracy.  Maybe with more practice but I had difficulty keeping small groups past 7 yards. 

My main concern was that I started having difficulties locking the slide back manually.  I was within an inch of sending the gun back.  I don't know, it might have just been my weapon.  At any rate, I cheated by putting an empty mag in it and pulling the slide back.  However, even after a good cleaning, I could not get get the manual slide to catch to work.  only way I had of breaking the gun down was by using the empty mag trick.  Finally I got a brliant idea.  With the slide locked back, I used the manual release and it snapped forward.  After that, it all worked smoother and easier than new.

Especially when new, the manual safety is very stiff and difficult to toggle.  I suppose it could be a good thing if you have kids around.  No kid will be able to take this weapon off safe. I use a thumb on one side and a finger on the other.

 Finally, I defy anyone to get 12 rounds in the twelve round mag.  11 is my limit, but it won't fit properly in the gun with more than 10.  The ten round mag fits just 8.  It's fine with me.  Just figured I should mention it.

Please mine may only be sample of 1 but it is going back for the 2nd time. The 12 round magazine also sent back due to loading issues.
