The Ruger American Rifle Generation II builds on over a decade of American-made bolt-action excellence with meaningful upgrades informed by real customer feedback. The barreled action wears a durable Cerakote finish, the bolt body is stainless steel with a threaded handle for a secure, positive grip, and the intuitive three-position tang safety locks the bolt to prevent inadvertent opening while still allowing the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged. The rigid stock includes a removable comb riser for improved sight alignment with optics and a length of pull spacer that can be removed or replaced to suit a variety of shooters right out of the box.

The Generation II Ranch models bring the same platform in a lighter, more compact configuration. The Cobalt Cerakote barreled action pairs with a Flat Dark Earth stock in black splatter texture for a sharp, distinctive look, and the shorter 16-inch barrel keeps weight and overall length down for easier handling in the field. Removing the included LOP spacer drops the length of pull to an ultra-compact 12 inches — making it one of the most accommodating out-of-the-box fits for smaller-framed shooters available in a production bolt-action rifle.
