Ruger's American Rimfire rifle is a great addition for anyone looking for a beginner's rifle or for youth shooters. The cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling which provides exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning. The American Rimfire rifle also has a Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, tang safety, easy-to-use 10/22-style extended magazine release, and a 3/8" rimfire scope base that is machined into the receiver, which is also drilled and tapped. It features a patent-pending Power Bedding integral bedding block system which positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy. Included is a Williams' fiber optic front sight and adjustable, "V" slot, folding-leaf rear and sling swivel studs. This Standard model has a 22" blued barrel, black synthetic stock with two long adjustable stock modules, and a detachable, flush-mounted 10/22 BX-110-round rotary magazine .

Very accurate rifle! And very reliable so far

So far lovin this rifle, very accurate and reliable I’ve already put 400 rounds through it I will say it really likes cci standard velocity

Very nice ²lr bolt rifle

When I went looking for a rifle I could afford to shoot, I figured 22lr would be the place to start. With the large selection of 22lr out in the market it was going to be a challenge to find one that stood out. I had always trusted the Ruger American rifles as being quality at a good price. Wanting a rifle that would eat everything 22lr I had my mind set on a bolt action. The obvious choice for me was a Ruger American Rimfire. Keeping with my low cost plans I went for the base model with a 22in barrel. Fit and finish of the rifle is very good. The bolt action smooth and solid. I mounted a rather large rimfire scope on it just for fun

Shooting this rifle is a pleasure. With the oversize cheek stock the scope position is comfortable. The rifle comes the 2 stock inserts. Smooth and low for iron sights and a raised insert for scope use. Being a bolt action your shot frequency will be lower than a semi auto. Just extends the fun time shooting!

Accuracy is good. There are better, but at this price range there are just a few. Using subsonic the accuracy is better. However I usually use bulk ammo at around 1250 for. The 22lr as it transitions from supersonic to subsonic seems to be an issue. For plinking I don't care. For getting a small group I find subsonic ammo better.

The iron sights with the fiber optic front sight makes the sight picture quick to acquire.

The adjustable trigger is an unexpected treat. Mine came in the box at 4lbs, and it is fine. Some like a lighter trigger and this one adjusts to about 3.2 lbs. Simple process to change the pull. Remember to torque the 2 mounting bolts to the value in your manual. If you are random on the torque your accuracy will suffer a bit.

Everyone comments the they have an American is some other caliber and they love it. Not the best rifle but a lot of fun for a good price.
