Savage 93 BTVS 22 WMR 21in Stainless Barrel 5+1 Brown Thumbhole Laminate Stock

I have had this rifle for about 2 years and positively love it. I have a decent scope on it and my groups are about a nickel size. I have shot over 1,000 and found that if you shoot this constantly, the barrel will heat up right about 50-60 round mark. More than that it will get to hot to touch. So I learn to break up my shooting to other guns every 10-20 rounds and this allows the barrel to stay at a decent temperature all day. I have even shot wooden Q-tips in half, I glue a few to a piece of copy paper and go to town. Almost like the show Top-shot. I have hit small round pieces size of dimes numerous times back to back. Love the accuracy of this. All of this at 50 yards or better. other than the heat trouble ( what can you expect from magnums) I have found that Hornady V-MAX shoots the best because of the pointed nose, any round nose will not cycle. I have tried several brands but if not pointed it will not cycle into the barrel. This would make for a great squirrel gun, they need to be hit in the head and this would be the gun to do it. One shot, one kill. Almost forgot, they sell 10 round mags for this also so capacity should read 10+1 rather than 5+1. The 5 shot is what comes with the gun, shame, shame, 5 shots? come on, that's like a 4 oz. beer. lol
