Smith and Wesson M&P15-22 22 LR 8in Barrel 25+1 Round Capacity

I did a bit of Internet "research" before buying it. I was aware that some 15-22s have extractor problems.

I bought the Volquartsen extractor while waiting out the waiting period. 

When I took it to the range for a break-in, I had failures to extract, about 6 jams per 25 rounds. 

Put in the new extractor (very easy (no special skills or knowledge required)) I have had NOT A SINGLE FAILURE since then. It's been over a thousand rounds of cheap ammo and this thing flings the shells into outer space every time. 

So much fun at the range. And inexpensive to shoot...and to buy.

This is a perfect gun for fun at the range. All the fun of an AR pistol but in 22LR making it affordable to shoot magazine after magazine. The only con I have I also had on the full sized M&P 15-22 is the extractor is subpar. But a simple swap to the upgraded Volquartsen extractor for $12.50 makes this thing hum. I haven’t had a single misfeed/jam since replacement. Do yourself a solid and get one of these pistols.
