At Range USA, we strive to improve our customer's in-store and online shopping experience. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a long-time member, we aim to provide fast and accurate information to all customers.

Below you will find answers to the most commonly asked questions listed throughout our Frequently Asked Questions Page ranging from rules and policy to firearm purchases, indoor range rentals, membership options, and firearm training courses.

Select a Store


Once we have secured your item(s) in our store, we will send you an email that your order is ready for pickup. Simply stop into our store, show your email to one of our associates and we will finish your order. If you are picking up a firearm, you will fill out the appropriate paperwork at this time.
If you are picking up your firearm from one of our stores, we will contact you as soon as your firearm is ready to be picked up. If we shipped your firearm to another FFL, we include your information for them to contact you when it has been received.
We try to update our in-store inventory as quickly as possible, but sometimes an item is being sold before we can update it online. We work hard to make sure that we get your order to you as soon as possible and will update you as soon as your item arrives in-store.


We can ship all kinds of items directly to your home, such as ammunition, accessories, optics, and gear. Pick the shipping option at checkout and have your items show up 3-6 business days later. The only items that we cannot ship directly to you are firearms. Firearms, or any serialized item, including but not limited to handguns, rifles and shotguns, lower receivers, and frames.
We can have you pick up directly from one of our many Store Locations for free. Or we can ship to a local gun shop (FFL) near you. You will be able to select a local FFL at checkout. Once we verify their license, we will ship your order. Your local shop will more than likely charge you a transfer fee to transfer you the firearm. Please contact them to find out what they charge. We currently do not offer shipping to states outside the lower 48 and international.
An FFL is a Federal Firearms License. These are typically gun shops, pawn shops, and sporting goods stores. They are licensed to do your transfer for you. To avoid a delay in processing your order please do not put the FFL as the shipping address. Learn more about FFL Transfers.
We make every attempt to ship your item(s) as quickly as possible. All orders are shipped promptly from a distributor warehouse or in-store inventory within 7-10 business days using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. We will notify you by email when your item ships or arrives within the store.
If you select to pick up from one of our stores, there are no shipping or transfer fees. Shipping a firearm to an FFL will have a shipping fee as well as a fee charged by your local FFL. Non-firearm items will display shipping calculated at checkout.


All firearm and ammo purchases are final if they leave the store. Please inspect the firearm prior to accepting the firearm. If you refuse the firearm, you will be issued a full refund minus a potential 10% stocking fee. If picking up from an FFL and you refuse the transfer, the firearm must be returned to us before you will be issued a refund minus a 10% restocking fee.
Sign in and go to My Account and click on "View Order History." From here, you may request a refund on different orders. Bring the products into your local Range USA, or ship the items back to us at your expense. We will refund minus a 10% restocking fee to your account upon receipt of the items in their original condition.


Any exchanges need to be processed as a return. You will be issued a gift card which will allow you to purchase your new order.


No, we cannot change your order after it has been placed. If you wanted to change your order, you will need to return the item to us at your cost and then select the item that you wanted instead.

Yes, all working, good condition firearms are accepted (no Class III Items). Your firearm will be appraised by an associate and the appraised value of the firearm is based on the discretion of Range USA management. No cash or check will be provided for any trade-in, only in-store credit.

Buying a firearm online is easy. You select your items and pay securely online with us. We allow you to pick up the firearm in one of our stores or ship them across the country using an FFL Transfers you select. You will fill out your background check when you pick up your firearm in the store.
Yes, you will need to fill out the necessary paperwork and any possible accompanying background check when you pick up your firearm from one of our stores or your selected FFL Transfers location.
Some states may require a fee for filing a background check. You are responsible for any required filing fee if required by state or local regulations.
When you have received your email that your firearm is ready to be picked up from one of our stores, bring in your ID to any one of our associates. They will bring your firearm to you and have you fill out your background check form.
State laws vary and we try to keep our website up-to-date with those laws. This means that there are many firearms that are non-transferable to some states. Please note that it is your responsibility to check your local and state laws to make sure that you are purchasing a firearm that is legal for you to own.
In order to uphold our mission of promoting responsible firearm ownership, we will not sell or release firearms to an unlicensed individual until a background check has been completed and returned.


Range USA has partnered with CREDOVA for online financing. When using CREDOVA, you will be taken to their site to complete the transaction. This is a line of credit and you will need to be approved by them for their financing. Range USA cannot guarantee financing through CREDOVA.
Unfortunately, CREDOVA is not currently available in all states. While we can still sell and ship to those states, they may not allow you to use our financing there. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Credova applications are a soft credit inquiry, meaning it will not affect your credit to apply.
Credova only offers financing on orders of $300 or more.
You can get approved for up to $5,000 and choose from multiple financing options through Credova.

Layaway is only available in our stores and is easy to use. The program allows you to place one item at a time into layaway for a period of 30 days. Sale prices apply to the day the layaway starts—no layaway for upcoming/past sale prices. Once an item is placed on layaway, the funds cannot be moved to a different item. To be eligible, the item must be priced at $150 or more. A minimum of a $100 deposit for items $999.99 or under and $250 deposit for any item over $1000 is required and is non-refundable in order to place an item into layaway. You can put more down if you choose to. You can also make payments throughout the 30 days. A picture ID is required when putting items on layaway as well as for any payments and pickups.
You will be notified the day after you place the item in layaway. A second reminder will be sent 15 days into the layaway. A final reminder will be sent when the day it’s due out. If the layaway is not completed by the 30th day, the layaway will be canceled.
If the layaway is canceled, any payments made will be refunded, less the $100 or $250 down payment.
Layaway is only available in-store. You can apply for online financing through CREDOVA.


You can view your membership details by signing into your account online and going to My Account. From there, click on "Manage Memberships."
A membership through Range USA will be billed to your credit card on the same date every month. You can cancel your membership or update your payment method at anytime. Sign into your account online, go to My Account and click on "Manage Memberships."

You will be notified via email of any issues related to your card processing. To update card information log into My Account and Payment Methods. Please note that we will attempt to charge daily, catching up any payments missed in prior months. This may result in multiple charges within the same month.
You will need to cancel your current membership and then sign up for a new membership at the desired level.
Sign into your account online, go to My Account and click on "Manage Memberships" to cancel your membership. Monthly memberships may be canceled by providing a ten (10) day notice prior to your next monthly due date to stop a charge from generating.
If you are active military, a veteran, or a first responder, we would like to thank you for your service and offer you a discount on one of our memberships. Simply choose the Defender Membership level to receive your discount.
We would like to extend our Defender Membership program to all former or active military as well as all first responders including but not limited to fire fighters, police, EMS, and emergency services personnel.
Your membership will be tied to your ID. Once you purchase your membership you are ready to use your benefits.
All membership levels are good at all our locations!
With our Elite and Premium level memberships, you are welcome to bring a guest with you each and every time that you come to shoot with us. Your guest will share the lane with you. Only two shooters are allowed in each lane.
After 90 days of being an Elite member, you will receive an email with your specialized code. This code will allow you to sign up for one class a month for free.
Members are able to shoot unlimited until there is a wait for the range. When a waitlist is in effect, unlimited shooting is reduced to 2 hours; then members will be asked to exit the range and placed at the top of the waitlist.
If you are logged in, all prices shown reflect a 5% discount where applicable. When shopping in the store, scanning your ID at checkout will apply the 5% discount where applicable. The 5% discount does not apply to items on sale.
Sign into your account online, go to My Account and you will see a dropdown containing store locations. Choose your desired store and click "Reserve Range Time." From here, you can select your time. Range reservations must be made at least two hours in advance.

We value our instructors' time and dedication to firearm training. Students who fail to show or cancel their class within 48 hours of class start time will not be eligible for a refund. Students can reschedule their missed class for a fee of $25.00 for all traditional in-person classes, and $50.00 for private lessons.
You will need to bring your state issued license with you for the class. Once you've registered for a class, you will receive an email listing what materials you must bring with you to the class. If you are bringing your own firearm, please make sure it is unloaded and your ammo is separate. We do not allow live ammunition in our classrooms.
Renting a firearm is included in the cost of your class. However, you will need to purchase your own ammunition. We only allow ammo purchased from us on the day of the rental to be shot through our rental firearms. Cost of the ammunition will vary by location. You can call ahead to the store to get an approximate cost for your class.
States and different legalities use different terms for their jurisdiction. We use the general term Concealed Carry to standardize our classes, however each location has specialized instructors to teach the laws and terms used by the area we reside in. Please contact your local store for more specific information.
After purchasing a private lesson, we will send you an email containing a link to a request form to determine what days work best for you, what you are looking to learn, and any instructor preferences you have for your lesson. Your chosen store will then call you to set up the lesson.
You will receive an email with a link to an evaluation after your class has been completed. Or you can submit an evaluation on our website. We always love to hear any feedback to improve our classes.
We love having the ability to introduce people to the practice of responsible ownership, and we have many entry-level classes to help you get started. Our Introduction to Firearms class is available online and provides an excellent foundation when beginning your journey.
You can always request a favorite instructor. When you are checking out, simply put the name of the instructor that you want into the packing slip notes.

Each manufacturer will have different methods for submitting your rebate. Click on Rebates in our footer, find your rebate, and click on it. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions of submitting the rebate.

Discount Programs

If you are active military, a veteran, or a first responder, we would like to thank you for your service. We offer an in-store only discount of 5% off ammo, accessories, and range time. We also offer discounted membership packages with our Defender Memberships.


Everyone who shoots on our range is required to sign our liability waiver once every 12 months.


Please immediately alert store leadership whenever you see any questionable behavior. We strive to have a safe and comfortable environment and prompt reporting helps us to stop the issue immediately. If you are no longer at the store, please use our Contact Form with any details that you remember as well, the store location, and time of visit so that we can take the appropriate action.
We always have a Range Safety Officer (RSO) on our ranges. They are there to provide everyone with a safe environment and for any questions that you may have while shooting.

You can book your party or event at Range USA! We have rooms where you can meet and eat before hitting the range. Visit our Parties & Events page to learn more and to fill out a request so that we can contact you. Requests must be received at least two (2) weeks prior to your actual event.
We ask that you give us at least two (2) weeks notice before your actual event.
We do not cater, but you are more than welcome to have a caterer of your choosing for your event. Please coordinate with store leadership on getting the room set up for your event.
