The primary goal of this course is to learn how to develop a defensive mindset. Students will learn the skills required for defensive shooting. The course will cover the difference between the skills required for defensive shooting versus being a good marksman on the range.

• This is not a beginner course but is ideal for shooters who are looking to transition from Basic Handgun fundamentals to the Intermediate Handgun.
• This is a mini-course and does NOT include moving, shooting or holster draw.
• Live-fire training on the range is included.

Materials Needed:

• Minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition.
• Unloaded and CASED firearm – bring your own or use one of our rentals. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR FIREARM OR AMMUNITION INTO THE CLASSROOM.  NO FIREARMS IN THE CLASSROOMS.
• Eye and ear protection – bring your own or purchase in-store.

• Classes are limited to the first 10 students. A minimum of 5 students is required for a class to be held.
• Class participants who are under the age of 21 must have a parent or legal guardian in attendance for the entire class. Parent/legal guardian must sign our Liability Waiver on behalf of the underage participant and must remain in the lane with them during the shooting portion of the class. Illinois Residents Only:  Parent must have a valid FOID card.
• ILLINOIS STUDENTS: A valid FOID card will be required to attend the range portion of this class. An Illinois resident without a valid FOID card may take part in the classroom portion only. In order to participate in the range portion, an Illinois resident without a valid FOID card must be the guest of a student in the same class who possesses a valid FOID card. Any Illinois resident who does not have a valid FOID card will not be permitted to purchase ammunition, or purchase or rent a firearm.

Reschedule/Cancelation Policy: Customer will be permitted ONE class reschedule if the reschedule is made at least 2 days before the ORIGINAL class date on the order. Additional rescheduling will not be permitted and will result in the forfeiture of the cost of the class. Cancelation must be made at least 2 days prior to the ORIGINAL class date on the order. Students who fail to reschedule or cancel within 2 days of the ORIGINAL class date on the order will not be eligible for a refund. In the event Range USA cancels a lesson, Range USA will work with you to find an agreed upon future class date and the policy above will apply to any future cancelation or rescheduling.
