Important: (430 ILCS 66/70) Sec. 70. (c) A license is invalid upon expiration of the license, unless the licensee has submitted an application to renew the license, and the applicant is otherwise eligible to possess a license under this Act.
If your Concealed Handgun License has already expired, you are no longer eligible for renewal. Students will need to retake the 16/8 hour Concealed Carry Course. Please make sure the course is taken before expiration date.
The Illinois Renewal course is here! You’ll need to take this course to renewal your current Concealed Carry license. This course is the required 3 hours long and includes range time.
Students will learn:
Updates to Illinois law Review of force and IL criminal statutes.
Refresher and updates of prohibited areas and law enforcement interactions.
Live fire qualification with instructor.
This course may be taken before renewal status is reached.
Classes are limited to the first 10 students.
Materials Needed:
- Minimum 50 rounds of ammunition.
- Unloaded and cased firearm – bring your own or rent for free. Firearms WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN CLASSROOMS.
- Eye and ear protection – bring your own or purchase in-store.
- ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE VALID FOID CARD IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO DO NOT HAVE A FOID CARD.

My husband and I both enjoyed the renewal class. Excellent information was provided relevant to staying updated on State concealed carry laws and federal information as well. It was most refreshing to have a woman present this information, and we look forward to availing ourselves of other classes, that Tami and/or her husband present, as we have enjoyed class with each of them on separate occasions. Thanks to Range USA for these excellent types of instructors and the classes they lead.
The class was informative. Tami kept things moving. There is a lot to get through. I was able to get through to the ILL police website and complete my application. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
Instructor Kris kept the class interesting while going through the necessary material. The two hour classroom instruction went by fast and we actually learned a few things in the process. I recommend this class.

Nick T. did a great job of presenting the material in spite of constant interruptions by one of the students who was determined to make the class all about her. We heard just about her entire life story which included such details as the appelate judge who lives next door, the police lieutenant who lives around the corner, the antique cars in her garage, etc, etc, etc. Nick was somehow able to keep his patience and keep the class moving forward. Well done.
