This gun is perfect in so many ways. I picked this up recently because I wanted a bigger size robocop feeling handgun and this EAA Girsan was it. For under $500 I got a smooth trigger, red dot accurate fire shooter. Worth every penny.

You won't find a full sized 9mm that includes a red dot optic for within $200. Girsan makes good reliable guns, but if you can't find a replacement part you need on the EAA website, you're screwed. They say it's a S&W M&P clone, but I'm not sure if anything inside is compatible. I can't find a holster specifically for it anywhere, but I've heard anything that fits an M&P will work. Mags are similarly hard to find, but CZ makes some that fit and are common to find.
It's actually very nice to take to the range. The controls are smooth and easy to operate. Slide release and mag release are easily accessible and operate with my thumb. After i cleaned the factory oil of, i haven't had a single issue in 500-600 rounds. I haven't had much access to different ammo, but it's handled Blazer 115 grain beautifully and some cheap hollow points and a few boxes of other brass stuff. The one thing is it doesn't handle +p ammo. It has very little recoil and is easy to get back on target quickly.
My two major problems with it from a shooting perspective are the grip just doesn't fit my hand perfectly. That's pretty common for me, but it's still uncomfortable to shoot after about 200 rounds. I have big hands, but oddly enough the smallest grip fits me the best. All 3 feel kinda good, but just not perfect to my hands. And the other issue is the trigger feels mushy to me. It's soft, feels light though i haven't measured it. It breaks nice and crisp, but there's a big soft pull before that. It's not terrible, but I'd like to replace it. I'm hoping there's some kind of Apex kit that'll fit.
Now about that red dot. It's a neat toy. But there's no always on option, and no shake to wake. Also no backup iron sights So it's mostly useless in any self defense situation. It's very very accurate after you get it calibrated, but you need to hold a small button for 3 seconds to turn it on. It only stays on for 4 hours before turning off, per the manual. It's amazing to have one inch groups at 15+ feet, but needs an always on function. It does come with iron sights you can replace the optics with, but you could just save the money upfront and buy the mc28 without it for about $70 less.
It's still a very good gun for the price. A great range toy, but i don't think I'll ever keep it at my bedside or as an edc.
