The Ruger AR-556 pistol is made for the shooter looking for their first AR pistol. The lower receiver is fitted with an adjustable SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Stabilizing Brace. The slim 9" handguard is free-floating for accuracy and provides enhanced ergonomics and support and features Magpul M-LOK accessory attachment slots. The hard coat anodized forged aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum flattop upper receiver includes a forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector. 
The bolt is machined from 9310 alloy steel, comes with a matte black oxide finish that provides corrosion resistance on the grip's exterior and bolt carrier, and has an M4 feed ramp that provides reliability ensuring each round feeds correctly. 
A Ruger flash suppressor is provided, including the threaded barrel that allows for standard muzzle accessories to be installed. The Picatinny rail allows for quick and easy optic or red dot installation, and the AR-556 pistol also includes a 30rd Magpul PMAG.
