2022 is a date! This gun was designed and built initially as the official sidearm for law enforcement in France and then adopted by several other nations. It was subjected to rigorous testing. The contract expired in 2022 which is why this gun has that designation. I have put 5,000+ rounds through this gun with only one failure to fire which turned out to be a bad primer, not the gun! I use this as a training gun as well and new shooters do quite well with this gun. It is built for right hand shooters. I have 9mm handguns costing 3 times as much that are no match for this 2022!

This really is a great pistol with a couple of small quirks that are not huge. I’ve owned this gun for about 5 years and 1000 rounds. If you are a lefty like me, there are better options, but my wife likes it being RH. The decocker and slide stop/release is not ambi friendly but the bag release can be flipped. It shoots really well despite a higher bore axis and has chewed through everything thrown at it. The grip texture is great although the rear grip module has a little bit of movement upon a tight grip for my gun at least. Overall very happy with the gun although this class of pistol is crazy competitive and there are certainly better ones out there. If you are looking for a solid performer always at the ready for home defense or plinking duty, this one does well.
