For best performance use a round style hammer as notched hammers can cause function issues and 36 grain plated nose bullets have proven to be the best choice for function.

Great option for AR training

I was on the fence about getting this item. I had borrowed one from a friend and I did not have a good experience. Very frequent cycling issues. I decided the best thing was to just buy a .22LR caliber AR style rifle.

After looking for a rifle I determined that those rifle options were not true to the .223/5.56 caliber rifles so I went back to looking at this. I had discovered that the issue I had was with the Remington bulk ammunition I had used.

I bought this kit and bought boxes of high velocity plated nosed ammunition and I have not had one failure in nearly 800 rounds. The gun runs flawlessly, although the .22 ammo runs very dirty and will require a good cleaning after a day of shooting.

The only issue I have is with loading the magazines. The process in time consuming and difficult. It is easy to lose track of how many rounds you have loaded and it will allow you to load a few extra, although it is very tight. I like how other manufacturers have the witness window so you can gauge where you are in loading, it would be nice to have something like that here.

Overall, I am very happy with the product and if you use quality ammunition, I believe you will be satisfied too.
