The Henry Big Boy Steel Carbine combines classic lever-action design with modern features for the hunter who values tradition and performance. Chambered in .357 Magnum/.38 Special, this carbine features a 16.5-inch round blued steel barrel that produces substantial velocity increases with magnum cartridges, approaching conventional rifle levels while maintaining compact handling. The steel receiver weighs 1.68 pounds less than brass-framed models for easier carry on long hunts, while maintaining the smooth, dependable action and inherent accuracy Henry rifles are known for. The large-loop lever provides comfortable operation with gloved hands in cold weather and adds distinctive styling.

The Side Gate model offers the best of both worlds with a traditional removable tube magazine for safe unloading and a side loading gate for convenient topping off without removing the magazine. Fine checkering on the American walnut fore-end and straight-wrist stock ensures a firm grip, while the adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with diamond insert and brass bead front sight deliver accurate target acquisition. Drilled and tapped for optic mounts to accommodate red dots or scopes. An automatic in-hammer transfer bar safety provides peace of mind.
