Ken
Measure your improved cylinder choke tube before shooting slugs!

I'll start off by saying the shotgun looks nice and well made. TriStar recommends shooting at least 20 rounds of higher powered shell's to break the shotgun in so I fired 25 slugs thru it because the range does not allow shot to be fired. I installed the improved cylinder choke tube before I went to the range, TriStar states in the manual not to shoot slugs thru full, modified or improved modified! Out of 25 shots I had mostly failure to eject and failure to feed. When I got home I decided to break it down and clean it. When swabbing the barrel the patches would get pretty hard to push thru the choke. When I looked down the barrel I noticed that the choke tube was not flush with the bore of the barrel and when I looked at the outside of the barrel I noticed that the end of the barrel is bulged. I looked online to see what the inside diameter of a . 410 improved cylinder choke tube is supposed to be and found a measurement of . 404. I measured my improved cylinder tube several times with my caliper and was getting around .385! I'm lucky it didn't blow apart on me!!! TriStar needs better quality control!
