This Ruger AR-556 5.56 NATO 16in Barrel 30+1 Round Capacity M-Lok is the perfect rifle for experienced and novice shooters. This rifle has a 16" chrome-moly steel barrel with a black nitrided finish, ensuring extreme durability and accuracy. The M-Lok handguard allows for easy attachment of accessories like optics and lights, while the adjustable stock offers added flexibility.
This firearm includes a 10-round magazine but is compatible with other magazines up to 30 rounds in capacity. With an overall weight of 6.48lbs, the Ruger AR-556 is lightweight yet powerful, making it ideal for hunting, target shooting, or home defense.

Update on prior review
Customer service was fast at a 5 day turnaround. Ruger paid shipping both ways. They replaced the upper receiver, bolt and honed the chamber. Since it's return I have put 300 plus rounds through it of 4 different brands with zero problems. I now am able to appreciate the weapon instead of waiting for it to jam. The trigger is awesome. Using a mid range Burris 4x8 I was able to clean out 3 inch holes in paper targets at 175 yards. Thanks for restoring my faith in the brand.

Outstanding - 4th Firearm from SPB in 2021
I have purchased four firearms from SPB in 2021 and two for my finance, and this is by far my favorite - The Ruger 556 MPR is an outstanding piece! I have done a couple of upgrades to it so far, but honestly, it doesn't need it; I just like a more oversized grip, added iron sights, and a Sig Romeo 4s.
There are many arms dealers in my area, and I could quickly go somewhere else, but I continue to buy from SPB since they always tend to have what I want, and if they don't, it's available in no time at all! I am also a member, and if you go to the range a couple of times a week as I do, the membership is worth it.

Disappointed
Having owned many Rugers I have a high regard for their reliability. Maybe not so much in the AR platform. I received the gun Feb 9th and used it only three times. It feeds the cartridges into the chamber at such a steep angle that the bullet is bent hitting the top of the chamber and the case is crushed by the force of the bolt. I now have a live round stuck in the chamber. Stuck so tightly that I needed a rod and a helper to force the cartridge back out. This has happened at one point every time I used the gun. Of course Ruger wants it back for examination and repair, but really I just want to run it! I hope they can correct the feed issue. So off to Ruger it goes.
