Cold Steel's Special Forces Shovel has a hardwood handle and a shovel head and socket forged from 2mm carbon steel then heat-treated for maximum strength. The cutting edges come sharpened to a utility/axe edge that can easily be made razor-sharp. Modeled after the original Soviet Spetznaz shovel carried by the most elite unit in the Soviet Army, this shovel can be used as a hammer, machete, hatchet, axe, cleaver, or paddle, it makes for an outstanding digging or entrenching tool, and it can be an effective weapon in an emergency.
