Federal® Subsonic gives both hunters and target shooters effective performance and extreme accuracy at velocities that deliver whisper-quiet shooting through suppressors. Engineers selected some of Federal’s most trusted bullet designs, including Fusion® and Fusion Tipped, and modified them for muzzle velocities of 1,000 fps. At just below the speed of sound, this eliminates the harsh supersonic crack of standard-velocity ammunition that suppressors can’t silence without sacrificing the precision or performance shooters need. Hunting loads with Fusion or Fusion Tipped bullets provide lethal expansion and penetration, while target loads offer accuracy and consistency at the range.
