It is powered by a single CR2 battery with an approximate battery life of 40 hrs. The laser is easy to operate with its push button and pressure pad, and the windage and elevation adjustments make this laser sight is a reliable accessory. It is constructed of aluminum with a matte black finish and is compatible with Weaver and Picatinny mounts.
