Can this be equipped with a dot sight?
The GX2 doesn’t come optics-ready, but you can still add a red dot using an aftermarket adapter plate that fits into the rear sight slot.
I purchased this firearm yesterday and tested it on the range the same day. I am quite impressed. Many of my revolvers are of the Taurus brand so I decided to give their pistols a go. Needless to say I am not disappointed.
I bought this gun for my wife and she loves it, so I went out and bought the 40 caliber of this weapon and I don't leave home without it. Definitely I would give it a A++++ lightweight and on point overall it's great .
Everything about this gun shouts "CCW!" So, I bought it for my wife. Unfortunately, she doesn't like it because the trigger pull is so heavy. In fact, at our RUSA home range, she readied to shoot, and after what seemed like too long for the "bang," The Girl placed the firearm on the counter, turned to me, and claimed: "Something's wrong with the trigger; it won't move [post takeup]." I shot it and wondered, "Humm, what's up with her?" My Girl is not an enthusiast (save for pickleball). In theory, she appreciates that such a trigger serves as a "safety." In practice, however, the Echelon is her go to . . . .
Accordingly, I moved to sell the GX2, about a week after buying it. Yet the market for dang thing is dismal. Given that I bought it on sale, and during Taurus' rebated season, I didn't stress, and began using it during my weekly range sessions. Save for two (of 50) light primer strikes when I fed it Norma 124 gr., the GX2 has been 100% reliable, after just over 500 rounds - and now it ingests Norma without hiccups. Moreover, the accuracy between seven and 10 yards is impressive for a short barrel firearm.
I love the GX2. And although I carry a revolver, I think that the GX2 is a viable CCW option (except for those with weak or otherwise compromised finger/hand strength).
Peace
