Manufactured by Iver Johnson Arms Inc, the 1911 .45ACP threaded barrel has the standard .578x28 TPI that are 3/8 inch long on the end of the barrel to accept most devices including Suppressors and Muzzle Breaks. The barrel features a black oxide finish for long lasting protection in any weather condition and includes a protective cap to safeguard threads sticking out past the slide.

Ivor-Johnson.45 ACP threaded barrel w/o link or pin

Seems well made, and is a very tight bushing lockup for my Colt 1991A1, (Series 80 - new in 1992). I do wish it was sold with a barrel link and pin because I had to source these separately and I had to ream the machined link fitment on the barrel to get the pin to fit. Still, it was a rewarding experience as I learned more about the 1911 series than I had learned previously, as least as to barrels.

This barrel is intended for use with a suppressor which will likely not be available to me until early 2022. I’m looking forward to trying it.
