MAC 1014 Wood Semi-Auto Shotgun 12 Gauge 3in Chamber 18.5in Barrel 5+1

Great looks...wood combo is very attractive and well done. I ran 230 shells (cheaper 1300-1350fps buckshot and 1600fps slugs) to break it in over a single session. I had no failures. I took it apart, cleaned a lot of lead out of the barrel, and it reassembled easily. You do not have to disassemble and clean the gas system until you have shot many 1000s of rounds. I like the M4 manual of arms where you can choose to cycle a round or not, so I now store it with 10 1600fps buckshot in/on board without one in the chamber and the safety on. The recoil is on par with my 20 gauge shotgun which makes 12 gauge more appealing to older, weaker guys like me; my shoulder had no pain at all after breaking this in. The only mod I made was a larger rotating charging handle. The problem with the OEM part is it is not rotating and has sharp edges...it comes with a nice rubber guard to mitigate this but I prefer the replacement I bought for $25. The experience makes me looking at another purchase! Highly recommended.

I bought this shotgun after watching several videos on youtube. I have to say the fit and finish was outstanding. I cleaned it up and put 100 rounds of high brass though it to break it in. It was then cycling 7 1/2 federal birdshot with ease. Only failed on cheap winchester loads. Above and beyond expectation.
