Product Details

The 1894 is reminiscent of the sporting lever action rifles of earlier eras. This elegant short rifle features a barrel with Ballard type rifling, an American black walnut straight grip stock coated in Mar-Shield, cut checkering and rubber rifle butt pad with swivel studs. The squared lever gives more surface area for proper functioning, the side ejection port is on the right and it has a hammer block safety. Sights include an adjustable semi-buckhorn folding rear, and ramp front sight with brass bead and wide-scan hood. The solid-top receiver is tapped for a scope mount, and the rifle comes complete with offset, right or left hand, hammer spur for scope use.

What is the difference between the marlin 1894 44 mag with SKU# 70400 and the Marlin 1894 44 mag with SKU 70401. The first has a price of over $800 and the latter has a price of over $1,000?
