A recessed button at the rear of the frame allows the upper receiver to tilt up and detach from the grip frame—no tools required. The bolt slides out effortlessly, enabling straightforward cleaning from chamber to muzzle.

Notable upgrades include a one-piece grip frame, CNC-machined from a solid aluminum alloy block for added strength and precision. The Mark IV also features an ambidextrous manual safety, a redesigned bolt stop for improved ergonomics, and a magazine that drops free for quicker reloads. A revised magazine disconnect safety prevents the pistol from firing when the magazine is removed.

Internal refinements to the hammer, sear, bolt, and firing pin deliver smoother operation and increased reliability.
