UNDERRATED
10 years and thousands of rounds later, no glitches, increadably accurate, even more afordable, and accurate, than many high end 1911's. Possibly even more "Perfection" than a Glock 19, but has a heart and body of steel. I always wondered what the fuss was about a 100+ year old designed gun was, and now I know. The best part is the incredable trigger? No striker-fired can even come close to the 1911 trigger system, it is not even debatable, and Ruger does it proud. Worth the purchase just for that experience. As for the 45ACP, it speaks for itself, as it kinda made the 1911 what it is. Only negative for a 1911 is; capacity, but then as hard as the 45ACP hits, and as accurate as the Ruger SR1911 is, you may not need all those extra rounds, the families of plastic guns offers.

Excellent 1911
I'm a long time fan of the 1911 and have owned many. This model ranks among the top for fit and finish. Slide to lower receiver is tight and there is almost no wobble at all. It has the standard style guide rod, not the full length one (very big plus). The very first night I owned this, one of the dots fell out of the rear sight. I contacted Ruger via email that night and the next morning I got an email saying that had shipped out a new sight. This is my first Ruger handgun and I am definitely impressed. I absolutely recommend this for any use and purpose.
