Taurus 2440049 44 Ported 44 Rem Mag 6 Round 4" Stainless Steel Black Rubber Grip

Well, this is a great gun with very few drawbacks. I am a glock man myself, but I love and have always been fascinated by revolvers. I bought the S&W airweight 642 in .38 special, but then I wanted bigger and skipped the .357 (though I still want one). I went straight to .44 mag. It is heavy, but you want that weight. The factory grips feel like hogue grips. The sights are fine, though I haven't had to adjust them, because the factory settings are usually pretty accurate. I have shot only 240 grain FMJ, and I have to admit, the kick is punishing but great. While I can only stand to shoot 12 rnds, the stress I relieve is great. I chose this over the tracker due to the extra round and the heavier weight. Keep in mind, this gun is actually a 3" barrel, because the last inch is for the porting, but the porting is greatly needed. I expect to use this gun for dangers within 10 yards. So far, the only annoying thing as been the barrel release button, because it was starting to stick, but I lubed it up pretty good, and it has been better. Still, I am comforted in the fact that Taurus now has lifetime warranties on their guns.
