Going waaaay back my Winchester model 190 auto was very particular about what ammo would cycle and what didn't. The only ammo that had no problems was the Winchester Wildcat ammo and it's still true today!

Most people shooting 22LR from magazines are familiar with jams & sooty chambers/barrels. This ammo gave me only one FTF over 275 rounds fired through SWM&P 15-22 rifle. Fairly clean chamber compared to most 22LR range ammo. BEST PART: Consistent 1-1/2" groupings at 25 yds at range USA. So, it makes sense that this product is marketed for small game hunting as well as plinking.
everything was fine.
I had doubts. Generally Winchester ammo is never reliable through any of my semiautomatic pistols or rifles. I took a chance, mostly because it was the only brand available at the time, and I bought 5 boxes. I figured if it was as bad as I thought it was going to be, I would use it in my revolvers.
I ran this through a GSG 1911 and through my AR15 with a .22lr conversion kit and between the two guns, had only one failure to feed. I was shocked to say the least.
Hopefully this is a sign of a good trend in Winchester producing a better quality .22lr product. They certainly seem to have got these right.
It was over pressured. worked well in semi-auto's but in my revolver the overpressure was every now and again pushing the case back enough to where i could feel it as the cylinder was turning. A couple time it even completely prevented rotation of the cylinder. I think that Winchester may be over compensating in the load to make its ammo more reliable in semi-auto's.
