Beginner Perspective

As a newby, the depth of options with this platform can be overwhelming. I was originally in the 1,000 to 1,500 price point because, like many, I like to fall within the mid tier of quality for any product. With that said, I simply lacked the knowledge or experience to truly evaluate the value recieved at those price points. For that reason, I chose to go budget with the Radical Firearms RF-15. In my mind, worst case scenario, the rifle under performs and I upgrade from there. Im happy I chose this route. Currently I've got 300ish rounds (all 556) through the rifle without any failures. The rifle itself feels solid and well made. The grip and trigger are obviously lacking but who cares, these are personal preference items that will likely be replaced on any rifle you chose. The handguard for me is sized appropriately and feels of good quality. No flex when gripping the guard. Charging handle works as intended and does its job.

Unless I experience some issues, 5 stars from me on quality of price point ($429). Put your ego aside, get this rifle and get started. Like me, I think you'll find a greater appreciation for the platform and upgrades you do make along the way.

Chews everything I put through it with zero FTFs

Every bit of this AR is quality and a solid platform for options. I've put probably 1500 rounds of .223 and 5.56 and nary an FTF or jam. I'm no marksman (sucks getting old), but I could hit a target out to 300 yards with a 2 MOA optic and 3x magnifier. It's next to impossible for me to even see a target at that range, especially with a 2 MOA optic, but I'll be darned. The performance is only exceeded by the value of this firearm.

I added a Holosun 510C with matching 3x magnifier, bipod, and a sling (this is one area that could be improved - wider attachment points).

Highly recommended.
