Does this model use .223 and or nato 5.56 ammo??

Runs amazing

This firearm is great overall. Lightweight and smooth. Trigger feels great. Almost no kickback with included furniture. Iron sights are cool. Very accurate and fun to use on the range. The bundle with the carrying case, two mags and red/green dot scope, is a huge bonus. Only "downside" I would say is that the barrel does get hot after running 2 full 30+1 mags back-to-back.This is normal, especially near the gas escape. Also, if you plan on getting rugged with it, I'd suggest getting a cap for the lower grip just in case. Still 5 stars for me regardless, $1099 is a great deal!

Great so far

Cycled perfect first time out shooting. Feels great. Only complaint i have is the iron sights are not sighted in elevation wise. Red dot came mounted on the rifle but was also not sighted in. Other then those two factors. All around great purchase.

Pretty great rifle for the money

Not a lot to dislike honestly. Fully melanited bcg and barrel, mid-length gas system, free floating hand guard, BCM furniture. BCG is MPI and HPT tested. Very solid all around, the only possible drawback would be that the pic rail doesn't run the full length of the barrel, but I don't intend to run NV so it's fine for me. The benefit is that it makes the handguard more comfortable and reduces weight. Springfield makes good rifles and this is no exception.
