First 1911
Love it so far, only shot 14 rounds out of it flawlessly. Came with a spare Checkmate magazine. I painted the sights yellow with a grease marker cause it's a cheaper side 1911. Late birthday gift to myself. I wanted a man stopper this is it. Going to break it in more then try hollow points....

One of the best reproductions I have seen
A 1911 fan all my life, I have wanted one of the old GI styles. I saw this and was tremendously impressed! There are only a few giveaways that sets it apart from the old veterans- the checkering on the hammer and the obvious made in Turkey stamping. Other than that- wow! Tisas makes some of the most impressive firearms in the world market and this is definitely one to add to your collection.

SDS Imports 1911A1A45 1911 A1 US Army 45 ACP
This is exactly what I was looking for. The Tisas 1911A1 is the closest model I have ever seen to a Military issued 1911A1. Almost an exact replica, lowered ejection port notwithstanding, but that is a good thing for reliability. Having spent 26 years both active duty & reserve as an officer in the Marine Corp, I am well acquainted with the 1911A1, the 1st pistol I was issued in 1973. Fit & finish on the SDS/Tisas 1911 was outstanding. Tolerances approach that of a match pistol.. I fired 100 rounds in an initial test for accuracy & functional reliability. No issues whatsoever. Offhand accuracy @ 10 & 15 yards yielded 2-3 inch groups, which is on me, not the pistol. Now in my 70s, I suppose I have lost a step or two from my Marine Corps Shooting Team days, lol.
