Just the ticket for senior eyesight!

I have finally bowed to the inevitable, and accepted the fact, that my 67 year old, Mark 1, eyeballs just don't work as well as they used to. The result of this sudden epiphany was the purchase of this XD-S Mod 2 9mm, with the Crimson Trace optic. Suddenly, I was free from myopically peering at my blurry sight picture. Now, I just put the red dot on the middle of the 10 ring and squeeze the trigger! How liberating to be able to concentrate on proper shooting mechanics.

All joking aside, I have been extremely pleased with this combo from Springfield Armory. After installing the optic, which unfortunately, does not come with the correct torx head tool for the top plate screws, it was simple adjusting the red dot, to co-witness the iron sights. After a few sight in rounds at 5 yards, to tweak the optic's zero, I was happily chewing up the 10 ring out to 25 yards offhand. This little pistol will shoot serious groups for it's size, and the optic helps my tired old eyes get on target quickly. I recommend it it wholeheartedly.
